Being the unreasonable man

Have you ever made yourself really upset? Like you were honestly upset with yourself and your life choices. There comes a point where you just need to stop the BS and make the changes you need.

Every single day I try to improve myself. I love watching Tom Bilyeu’s impact theory videos- they are so informative and I literally sit down with my journal and write down all the key aspects. The key aspects end up being 2 A5 pages on average. All of these talks are normally on the longer side, around 40-50 minutes. I chose this over watching series. HOWEVER i am currently watching Season 8 of Game of Thrones. Even though what I do may seem abnormal I prefer it that way-education over entertainment.

At the beginning of 2019 my goal was to learn something new every day, and I was really diligent with that for about 2 months and then I think my focus changed. I was actually becoming tired of the monotony that I was getting from my job. It was the same thing every day and I had no way to grow or improve myself. This is when I started going big on TED talks and just talks in general about any topic that caught my eye.

Truth is, the internet is an amazing place if we take the time to invest in ourselves to actually use it to our advantage. Being “online” can mean different things to different people just depending on how they use the internet. At the moment I am using the internet as my tool. The videos I watch are not the average motivational video. These videos show real people who are out in the world making a change and being succesful at it. These are the dreamers we hear about all the time-the people who are relentless in their seek for their purpose and passion.

And thats just it. WHAT IS MY PURPOSE? This question has drove me mad. I have gotten sad and angry just trying to figure this out. You will see glimpses of the person you are supposed to be when your are truly HAPPY.

What I have learnt is that this answer will not come to you overnight. It takes a lot, and I mean a lot of inner work. I do not know who I am. I do not know what I stand for. I do not know how I can impact the world. BUT I believe that if I work on myself these answers will come to me. Working on yourself could be different from the way I do it. Everyone is on their own journey. And everyone works at their own pace-there is no hurry. Age is just a number and endless possibilities await.

This month I decided that for the rest of the year I will not skip more than 2 days of exercise in a row. It may seem like such a small thing, but really I haven’t worked out with consistency since last year. I have become annoyed at the fact that my fitness was at a peak and now it is at an all time low. My aim with this is to get to a point where I will actually have that “summer body.” It’s about the small steps every single day that will ultimately lead to the changes you want to see.

So here I am taking it one day at a time, because the present is all we have and the future is all we can change. I believe that we are the generation who has the power to revolutionise the world-only if we are willing to be the unreasonable man.

  1. Your blogs are relatable, well written and refreshing. I like how you write like we are having a conversation.
” Age is just a number and endless possibilities await.” I am 23 and half the time I feel like a 40-year-old with many regrets. Thank you for the blog
