Recently I’ve been learning to savour each and every bite of my food. Often we forget that food is meant to be enjoyed. We need to savour the flavours and the textures. We need to enjoy how each flavour blends into the next creating a mini party in our mouths.
This got me thinking that I sometimes take moments for granted. I’ve realised that I spend alot of time up in my head thinking about all the things that need to get done instead of being present in the moment.
I WISH I COULD HAND OUT A DONUT PRESCRIPTION🤩 A PRESCRIPTION OF PURE HAPPINESS
EVERYONE WOULD STOP WHATEVER THEY WERE DOING AND JUST LOSE THEMSELVES IN A DONUT.
Haaaapiness for days and days and days!
I lost myself today in thinking about eating that donut pictured up above. The act of being present is a subtle ongoing awareness. Remind yourself to be aware and present.
My close friend was enjoying a self care ‘Sunday’ on a Tuesday and got her dose of a donut. 😛
My friend and I practised a week of mindfulness and eating better. Eating with intent, doing and thinking more consciously of our actions and thoughts. I’ve learnt that forgiveness is key. Allow yourself to make mistakes. Learn from the mistakes and push yourself until you get to your goals. Don’t be too hard on yourself…sometimes I lose myself in the “what if’s”. The blame game. The ongoing cycle that leaves me feeling stuck.
It’s the worst thing we do to ourselves…I promised myself to be more accountable for my life. Make rules and commitments to myself that I will stick to because I know how important they are.
You get to choose how you savour each of life’s moments. Enjoy the moment because it will never come again.
